My guide told me that the salt indication was very firstly discovered by Alexander who once traveled through this area. It is reported that his army saw their horses licking the mountains rocks in the area. Later the salt mines were mechanized by the British in 1872. The tunnel became darker as we move in I wore hamlet and carried a torch to see the things inside. Everything, every wall was made up of crystalline salt and when the sparkling touch light falls on it, shines emitting the glistening effect.

As we moved in I saw people mining the salt by different means.  I saw at different places group of 15 people working under a team leader. I saw some people mining salt by hands. Some by digging and some were using dynamic explosions to extract salt from the huge deposit. I picked up the rock salt crystal glittering down at the floor. It was pink in color.it was a delighted pink color salt crystal. I saw the miners breaking the large salt rocks into smaller pieces. They were loading the rock salt crystal in a trolley and taking it out of there. I was mesmerized by the view of glittering salt crystals in mines.
